Random Poem of the Day – IX
The Sea’s Mistress
by Michael Ball
Deep within the blue-green sea,
far beneath the restless sky.
She swims amid a silent world,
seldom seen, furtive, shy.
If perchance you fall beneath
the rolling, crashing wave.
This roaming, aquatic beauty
your land-bound soul will surely save.
But beware, good man, from solid land,
when risking your life at sea.
For save your life, the mermaid will,
while stealing your heart from thee.
