Random Poem of the Day – XII

Flakes of White

by Michael Ball

Flakes of white drift down
filling the air with winter’s promise.
Colored lights shine against the snow’s veil
lending the night a sense of joy.

Trees of light sparkle warmly in every window
bathing families in Christmas love.
Breathless anticipation fills each home
as everyone awaits that magic morning.

The Noel dawn arrives at last
greeted by childish glee from young and old alike.
Everyone revels in the holiday feeling
that we long to hold in our hearts all year long.
