New Chapter Posted
The literary neurons seem to be firing on all cylinders now that I’ve gotten back into the routine of writing on a regular basis. When I first jumped back into this, it was kind of like trying to get a lawn mower started for the first time after letting it sit in the shed all winter. You pull on the cord like mad for 5 minutes just to have it sputter and spit a little. Then you have to clean the spark plug, check the oil, blow out the air filter and cross your fingers. And then maybe, just maybe, it starts and you can get that darn lawn mowed.
Writing is sort of the same. You start out spitting and sputtering out a few words, put together a few run-on sentences and then spend a lot of time just staring at the screen. And it seems like you use the delete and backspace keys more than the rest of the keys on the keyboard put together. But the longer you do it, the smoother is seems to flow. I just finished off another chapter in my sci-fi story, Rise of the Blood Moon. (With a good amount of spiting and sputtering along the way)
If you’d like to give it a read, it’s up on Scribisi.com with some of my other writing. I have all of the first four chapters posted. Feedback is always welcome. Let me know what you think, either here or on Scribisi.
